Tomoko Kogure Maybin, an inspiring pillar of strength and love, passed away on July 24, 2023. Born on October 25, 1967, in Tokyo, Japan, Tomoko dedicated her life to making the world a better place for everyone who had the pleasure of crossing her path. She was a radiant beacon of intelligence and determination, living her life with an abundance of love and a dedication that knew no bounds.

Tomoko's journey took her from her birthplace in Tokyo to various corners of the globe, including Hawaii, Oklahoma, Turkey, and Alaska, before she finally settled in Aurora, Colorado. Each place she lived in was touched by her warmth and vitality. A smart and dedicated leader, Tomoko held the position of Chief Operations Officer at Kenyatta Computer Services, where her innovative ideas and relentless work ethic led to many successes for the company. Her professional achievements, however, paled in comparison to the accomplishments of her personal life. Tomoko was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose family was the beacon of her existence.

Tomoko's legacy continues through her family - her husband, Lionel; her children, Nahjee, Nia, and Nobuko; her daughter-in-law, Neecie; her son-in-law, Charles; her cherished grandchildren, Noah, Naomi, and Nehemiah; her father, Yaichi Kogure; and her brothers, Yuji and Takuma Kogure. Her mother, Nobuko Kogure, preceded her in death. Each of them carries forward a piece of Tomoko's spirit, her love for life, and her undying belief in the power of love, hard work, and dedication.

Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Tomoko made us feel loved, inspired, and valued. She was the embodiment of these words, leaving an indelible imprint on our hearts.
