Obituary

Theolian "Theo" Sy Lloyd Jr., was born on July 1, 1995 and passed away February 9, 2026

Theo was born in Denver CO to Diana Yvette Ards and Theolian Lloyd Sr. Theo spent his younger years surrounded by family and friends, building the relationships and free spirit that would define his life. In August 2009, Theo moved with his mother to Austin Texas, where he later graduated from Pflugerville High School in 2013. His mother Diana moved the family to San Antonio in 2014. Theo began building his future and discovering his purpose. He attended San Marcos Job Corps Center, where he earned his certification in Electrical work. He later joined UPS, quickly advancing into a supervisor role through his dedication and work ethic. While Theo valued hard work, he was never driven by material things. He was a spiritual explorer at heart. Theo was someone deeply committed to understanding life, faith, religion and the meaning of existence. He spent countless hours reading, learning and engaging others in conversations about God, purpose, and the human experience. To Theo, life was never about chasing money but about seeking knowledge. Theo helped manage the family property in San Antonio before deciding to begin a new chapter in 2021. After a brief stay in Dallas Texas he made his way to San Diego California. A place that immediately felt like home. Theo loved the beach, the freedom of the ocean air, and the lifestyle that allowed him to fully embrace life as a nomad seeker. There he connected with people from all walks of life, often spending his days discussing spirituality, life and purpose, with anyone willing to share a conversation. Theo's true pursuit in life was understanding the purpose of existence and helping others think more deeply about their own journeys. His gentle spirit, thoughtful conversations and open heart left an impression on many people he encountered along the way .Though his time here was far too short. Theo will be remembered for his curiosity, compassion, wisdom and desire to live authentically. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all who were touched by his presence.

He is preceded in death by his Aunt Charisse Kay Ards and his grandfather Arthur Ray Ards. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his loving mother Diana Yvette Ards and father Theolian Lloyd Sr. 1 Sister Shanita Yvette Lloyd and 1 brother Onyah Nkeze-Ards. 1 Niece Jaleiah Yvette Austin His grandmothers Birdie Louise Ards and Linda Faye Lloyd. 2 Aunts Katrina Lachell Lloyd, Sabrina Zerlinda Lloyd, 1 Uncle Billy Paul Lloyd and a host of relatives and many friends.
