Terald Dean Tolbert was born February 9, 1960, to Elmira Loretta Jackson and Roger Dean
Tolbert in Denver Colorado. He has two younger sisters, Carol Derese Redd and Georgia Lynese
Marlett.
Terry attended Loyola Elementary School where, to everyone's surprise, he was an altar boy at
Loyola Catholic Church. He started out playing soccer but by middle school he was playing
football, basketball and running track. He loved sports. He graduated from Kennedy High
School and after working a short time at Gates Rubber Company, he joined the Army.
After his Honorable Discharge he worked in various fields until finding his niche working with his
Uncle Larry and Joe Hayes at Hayes Home Maintenance. You could always count on him to try
to "fix" something at your house. Terry loved hanging out with family and friends. In later years,
he formed a special bond with his grandchildren and with Herbie, Nevaeh and Carl, who called
him "Uncle Grandpa." He was loved and liked by many and will be sorely missed.
Terry departed this life on October 11, 2023 and leaves to mourn him his wife, Felicia Tolbert;
his three sons William (Amber), Landon (Sarah) and Ivory Tolbert; eight grandchildren, Kayzona,
Monae', Ahmani, William, Jr., Jaheim, Que'Mani, Unique and Ivory, Jr; five great-grandchildren;
his mother Loretta Tolbert; sisters Georgia Marlett and Carol Derese Redd; and a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends.
