Sandra released the cares of this world, and gingerly walked into the sweetness of God's unchanging hands. She is at peace and resting in the bosom of God's love.

As she was affectionally known, Sandi earned her wings on May 11, 2022, .On January 23, 1955, she was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Willis and Delores Mackey.

Sandi graduated from Joseph A Hardin Elementary, McCarty Junior High School, George Washington Carver Senior High School. She retired from Martin Marietta.

Sandi was preceded in death by her daughter Dorinda Mackey and her parents Willis and Delores Mackey. Grandparents Julian and Ida Duvernay Marine, and Raphael and Rose White Mackey

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Russell Goodson, her beloved daughter Miranda Brown King, Grandchildren; Gabrielle and Edward King, siblings; brothers; Willis (Jean) Mackey and James (Marion) Mackey, and a sister Rosemarie (Terrence) Mackey Roberson. Her niece Monique Mackey Jackson, and three nephews; James Hubin, David Mackey, and Terrence Roberson, Jr. She is also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends.

Sandi enjoyed shopping and hanging out with her trusty sidekick Daisy.

Although she left New Orleans, it is home and has always been in her heart.
