Samuel was born on September 10, 1999, in Denver Colorado to parents Najla Wilhite, and John McCarthy. He was Najla's first born for a while before he became a big brother to his baby sister Nia, who he loved and adored so much! As a child.... Samuel was a creative thinker, he had ideas on how to make this life a better place to be. Samuel had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor!
Samuel received his early education at Odyssey School of Denver and continued to East High School. Some of his favorite hobbies were listening to music and making his own brilliant beats, he was also a good X-Box gamer. Samuel's passion for skateboarding made him an amazing skateboarder, his skills caught the attention of a big brand skateboarding sponsor for a while. Samuel genuinely loved spending time with his family and having intellectual conversations with his mother who remained his closest friend and supporter. Samuel loved to dress, his clothes and shoes were top notch!
Even though, life was not perfect for Samuel he maintained a strong Faith base and continued to endure through his struggles. He indeed fought to the end. Samuel was a very loving, devoted and caring Son, brother, cousin, and friend. Samuel will be deeply missed by all those he left behind.
Samuel McCarthy departed this life unexpectedly on December 19, 2022, in Denver, Colorado. Samuel is preceded in death by his great grandparents Betty Jean Brewster and Lawrence "Larry" Cleophes Brewster Sr., Samuel Yokie; aunt LaFleur Denise Brewster and Uncle Lawrence "Larry" Cleophes Brewster Jr. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss includes is mother, Najla Wilhite, of Centennial CO; father, John McCarthy of Sierra Leone, Africa, Grandmother LaNee' Brewster of Aurora, CO. Musu Yokie Sierra Leone, Africa; Grandpa Michael Wilhite (Vickie Wilhite) of Denver, CO; Sister Nia Vasquez of Centennial, CO; Aunts, Monique Gulley (David) of Twinsburg, OH., Adu Yokie of Sierra Leone, Africa. Rebecca Yokie of Sierra Leone, Africa; Uncles, Michael Wilhite of Twinsburg, OH. Jahsee Brewster of Anaheim, CA.
