Rita Marie Williams, known affectionately to everyone as Riri (the second not the first), was born to Bishop Lee A. Jordan & District Missionary Odessa Jordan on January 15, 1956, in Denver Colorado. Over the course of her life and due to being a pastor's daughter, she served in several positions at the church to include being an usher and a member of the Dynamic traveling Campbells Memorial Church Choir. Riri received her education at Manual High School where she ran track and played tennis as a teen. She loved music and was an avid reader. She loved discussing books in great detail with her sisters. She worked many years in the insurance industry. She started her career as a secretary however, due to her amazing mind she was immediately promoted to the position of a Multi-State Certified Underwriter ahead of many others. She married at an early age, moved to California and had two children which she raised on her own in. In 1993 she moved with her family to Atlanta Georgia where she lived a prosperous life often playing cards masterfully with her siblings and eating Uncle Chester's delicious dinners. She retired from MAG Mutual Insurance Company and returned to Colorado where She was a faithful member of the mother's board at the St. John Church of God in Christ.
Riri was highly intelligent and loquacious. What her brains could not accomplish her words would. She could talk her way in or out of
any situation. She never met a stranger, was loved by many and loved to serve others. She loved her grand children, spoiled them and would do absolutely anything for them. They were her joy!
As a dedicated member of the Mothers Board at St. John COGIC she faithfully prayed on the prayer line daily. She was generous to a fault. She would say 'the money always comes to me, it just never stays with me'. Riri was beloved and found favor in every aspect of her life.
She is proceeded in death by her Mother, Father, two brothers Chester (Wilette) Jordan, Ronald Jordan and her sister Pastor Debra Jordan Clay.
Riri came into the world on a national holiday and left the world on a national holiday because she was a VIP.
