In Loving Memory of Phillip Williams
February 16, 1983 – May 8, 2025
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the memory of Phillip Williams, who passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 42.
Phillip Williams, was born on February 16, 1983, to Terri Williams and Phillip Martinez at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
From a young age, Phillip's vibrant personality stood out. As a toddler, his fiery spirit, and tantrums earned him the nickname "Nacky," a name that followed him with affection throughout his early years. He attended Ashley Elementary School, where he proudly took on the role of walking his younger siblings, Shy-La and Wesley, to school—a small reflection of the deep love he held for his family.
In his teenage years, Phillip attended West Middle School and later Manual High School. It was during this time that his beloved older brother Billy and cousin Joseph gave him the nickname "Lil Short Stack aka Short," and together they formed "The Madds and Shorts," a close-knit brotherhood rooted in loyalty, unity, and unconditional support. Along with Richard and Ronald, this group grew beyond friendship—it became the family they all needed.
Phillip's bond with Billy was especially strong; the two were inseparable, and wherever you saw Billy, Phillip was never far behind. Their group of brothers, often called "the 05 brothers," remained a constant source of strength and belonging.
After taking time to reflect on his future, Phillip earned his GED on June 30, 2016. His passion for cars inspired him to pursue an education at Lincoln Technical Institute, where he began working toward a career in the automotive field.
In the time before his passing, Phillip made it a personal mission to repair and strengthen his relationship with his younger brother Wesley. He found pride and peace in being by Wesley's side once again, both as family and as fellow students.
Phillip was a man of incredible drive and unwavering loyalty. Whether navigating the fast lanes of life or simply enjoying time with family, he lived with intention, passion, and a deep sense of purpose. His love for cars wasn't just a hobby—it was a reflection of who he was: powerful, precise, and always moving forward.
To know Phillip was to feel supported. He had a unique gift for showing up exactly when you needed him—no questions, no hesitation. He was the rock for so many, offering strength, wisdom, and quiet encouragement that left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
But above all, Phillip's heart belonged to his family. He lived every day for them. His love was constant, fierce, and unconditional.
Phillip's legacy is not just in the memories we hold, but in the values he lived by: devotion, perseverance, and love without limits. While his time here was shorter than we hoped, the impact of his life will echo through generations.
We'll miss his smile, his strength, and the sound of an engine revving just right—but most of all, we'll miss him.
Drive on, Phillip. You'll always be in our hearts.
