Obituary

Pauline Felicia Adams was the life of the party and made friends wherever she went. She was born on September 8, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, to Jerry Eugene Adams, who preceded her in death, and Alloria Marie Harris. Pauline peacefully departed this life on April 29, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia, at Grady Hospital.

Pauline was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Luevernia Snell; her uncle, Leroy Grant; and her aunt, Earnestine Grant. She was also affectionately spoiled by her grandfather, George Snell, all of whom preceded her in death. In return for the love and care they poured into her life, Pauline faithfully helped care for them during their later years.

She attended Columbine Elementary School, Kunsmiller Middle School, Manuel High School, and later the Community College of Aurora, all in Denver, Colorado. On Sunday, September 4, 1977, at City Park in Denver, Pauline met and fell in love with Paul Reese. Together they shared three beautiful children: Sherae, born in 1982; Sean, born in 1985; and Spencer, born in 1986. Although Pauline and Paul parted ways in 1995, the love and bond they shared through their children never faded. As Paul lovingly recalled, they "never really parted" because of the deep love they shared for their family.

Years later, Pauline reconnected with an old acquaintance from the early 1980s, Myron Middleton. What began as a friendship blossomed into love, and the two later became engaged to be married. Pauline eventually relocated to Georgia to be closer to her fiancé, her sister Laura Ann, and other beloved family members. On Sunday, July 27, 2014, Pauline confessed Christ at Colorado Christian Fellowship. She often shared that, aside from the birth of her precious children, accepting Christ was the most important day of her life.

Pauline was known for her strong work ethic and caring heart. She worked at Pecos Collection Agency, though she often said the work was difficult because she did not have the heart to pressure people for money they did not have. She later worked in the office at McGlone Elementary School in Montbello, where she became beloved for her cheerful spirit and genuine love for the children. Many students fondly remembered her as "dope," "the pretty lady in the office," "cool," and "just like a mom." Pauline also worked for several years as a cashier at Home Depot, where she was admired and loved by coworkers and customers alike.

Pauline was a sharp dresser who loved to laugh, dance, cook, and spend time with family. She especially loved being a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were truly her heartbeats and her world, and she would do anything humanly possible for them. She enjoyed watching her brothers, Jeroan and Dewayne, perform with their bands and loved dancing with Willie and Derrick. She treasured heartfelt conversations with her brothers, Paul and Mike, and with her sister Laura Ann, who lovingly helped care for Pauline in her later years.

She had many nieces and nephews. She loved them as her own kids. Pauline's smile could brighten any room, and her laughter was truly infectious. She never missed an opportunity to hug, kiss, and remind her loved ones how deeply she loved them. Generous and compassionate, she was always willing to help others and would gladly give the shirt off her back. Pauline had a special love for dolphins, which symbolize harmony, joy, protection, freedom, compassion, teamwork, and transformation — qualities that beautifully reflected her own spirit and the way she lived her life.

Her life and legacy will forever be cherished by her children: Sherae (Isaac) Smith, Sean Reese, and Spencer Reese, all of Denver, Colorado; her beloved fiancé, Myron Middleton; her cherished grandchildren Dezyin Ozayiah-Maleik, Phenix Don Smith, Oasiss Amida-Rae Caasi, Aviauniss Asani-Rae Caasi, Jacari Adonnis Reese, Journi Keturah Mi'Amor Reese, Chandler King Savion Reese, her siblings Jeroan Adams, Laura Ann Adams, Michael Adams-Grant (Delia), Dewayne Adams, Paul Harris, Willie McGee (Kashundra), and Derrick Harris. A host of nieces, nephews, Anshanita Peace (Robert IV), Teniea Lockett, Lakreesha Adams, Shanette Tashay, Leandra Garcia (Vincent), Destiny, Paul Curtis Jr. (Aja), Jaron Dorchinez (Kara), Derrick Harris Jr. ( Tiffany), Lashaunda and Kelli Hopkins, along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love.
