Ny'Cyan Tobias Eiland graced the world with 9lbs, 8oz, 21 inches of pure joy on June 26, 2010, to LaShea Eiland and Daniel Grant in Denver Colorado. His mother would call him Papa Dukes, Oso (Bear in English) is what his Abby would call him. Aunts and uncles nicknamed him Jitter Bug, but if you asked him, he would tell you, "You can call me Nyy!"
At an early age, it was clear Ny'Cyan was someone special in this world. His love for music of all genres, dancing like he was putting on a show, but most importantly, family was something Nyy held dear to his heart. Dipping his foot in football, basketball, boxing, and most recently horseback riding, Nyy had a passion to move his body. We did not call him Jitter Bug for nothing.
Those that were blessed with his presence know just how sweet and silly that Child of God was. From his rambunctious personality to his well manners of the world, Nyy was truly a breath of mountain top air.
While in utero, LaShea knew the world would try her son and God is the real; she decided to get baptized. On April 1, 2018, Ny'Cyan gave his beautiful life to God at King Baptist Church in Denver Colorado with his mother right there to give her life again.
We are a miracle from God and a loan from Him and on the 12th of November in 2024, God called Ny'Cyan back home to sit beside Him. The sorrow will never equal the blessing those fourteen years held.
Nyy is mourned by his parents, LaShea Eiland, Daniel and Angela Grant. He will be missed by his grandmothers LaWanda Eiland, Joyce Owens, Terry Grant, his great grandmother Francis Eiland, and great great grandmother Lillian Eiland. He leaves behind his sister Nicole and brothers Jayziah and Daniel Jr. His aunts Ayanna, Conshetta, Tyshara, Tanyaka, great aunts Janay, Janell, and Jasmine. His uncles Jimmy and Jerry will miss him dearly. Ny'Cyan goes to God's grace, leaving behind a host of cousins. Amber, Lamarr Lee, Taijaun, Zamauria, Branden, Samya, LaVianna, Nereca, Na'Nyeyia, Amya, Dominiek, Dominae, Jha'Vierre, Dai'Syan, Jasiri, J'lon, Jerry, Jace, Jai'liannah, Tanzjana, Qhabira, Azj'Sean, My'Kayla, Ay'Eneice, and the list goes on and on.
The magnitude of people that God sent into Ny'Cyan's life to love him is plentiful and long to say the least. The Alexander family, Graham, Montoya, Brown, Parson, Robinson, Anderson, Segura, Wall/Abdullah family, and the list could wrap around the world fourteen times. God had His hands on Nyy from the moment LaShea got on her knees and prayed for a son. While the flesh will be missed, Lord we say thank you for the 5,253 days of true love. This is not goodbye son. This is we will see you later Papa Dukes.
