Obituary

Pearlie was the 6th child born into the family, in Marianna Arkansas. Her parents were the late Joe Willie and Ruby Lee Weeams. Her early childhood consisted of playing and working hard, with her older siblings during the summers so that they had plenty of canned goods, and wood to keep warm during the winter. Pearlie had a strong will often getting disciplined for it. She had no problem regulating, her classmates when necessary.

The family relocated to Denver in 1952, in search of a better opportunity. Pearlie completed her education as a Manual High School Thunderbolt, in Denver Co. Pearlie was a self-made chef employed to prepare her superb cuisine all over the city of Denver, from the KC Lounge, 715, Cindy Lynns, Jess & Lils to name a few. She retired in 1990 as the Head Cook for the Marion Nursing Facility located in Denver, Co. She professed her love for Christ at an early age being raised in a Christian home, Pearlie was baptized in the pond behind Mt Zion Baptist Church in Marianna Arkansas. Later in life joining Macedonia Baptist Church. Denver Co, she moved on to attend Ebenezer Baptist Church, as the proud Auntie of Rev Dr. Dewayne Moore. Founding Pastor.

As a young woman she married and divorced on several occasions, as a single mother she raised a precious girl Rosie Marie Kenny and three phenomenal sons who precede her in death, Robert Earl Connor II, George Charles DeAnzona, and Michael Angelo Anderson. Later in life she became the proud grandmother of two April Wilson and Jalen 'Charles Mahlik Kenny, two great grandchildren Ke'Vontay Thomas and Kelis Wilson. Jalen was her rock star often sitting at her side for advice and bringing her joy while sharing jokes, along with preparing his favorite meals with her.

Speaking of meals, nothing gave her more joy than preparing elaborate dinners for her family. Fried chicken, Greens, and hot out the grease catfish she fried for her sister. Pearlie also loved baking her famous pies: chocolate, apple, cheesy pecan, and that special sweet potato pie. An advent sports fan the Denver Broncos was her team, you couldn't disturb her while they were playing, an if you weren't a fan, she would ask you to leave her premises or get hurt. Pearlie had a big heart, but she wasn't one to take no mess. When she stepped out, she always wanted to be sharp up and down her beautiful locks flowing, pants creased, with shoes and bag matching.

Pearlie has now joined her parents, her three sons and the siblings that have proceeded her in death Clarence Banks Jr, Charlie Weeams, Markeen Weeams, Vernestine Lowe and infant Joseph.

Pearlie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Rosie Marie Mychoun Kenny (Squeaky) Denver, Co son-in law James Kenny, of Tabusintac, New Brunswick Canada, grand-son Jalen 'Charles Mahlik Kenny, Denver CO. Granddaughter April Wilson and two great grandchildren Birmingham Alabama one Brother Robert Weeams (Elizabeth), one Sister Dorothy Moore, sister in-law Mable Banks, brother-in law Herman House, Denver CO, many nieces, nephews, dozens of cousins, countless numbers of friends, and a devoted Nephew Norris Surrartt.
