Obituary

Morris Witherspoon III, affectionately known as Moe or Sport, was a beacon of warmth, humor, laughter and love wherever he went. Born on September 30, 1968, in Duluth, MN, Morris was a man of courage, strength, and faith. He possessed a unique blend of humor and resolve that made him an unforgettable character in the tapestry of many lives. As Mark Twain once stated, "Humor is mankind's greatest blessing," and Morris was indeed a great blessing to all who were privileged to know him.

Morris was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos, demonstrating his loyalty through the highs and lows of each season. He spent countless hours cheering for his team, often while wearing his collection of sports apparel. His love for football was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. Morris was a loving son to his parents, Morris Jr. and Estelle Giron, a proud father to his son Antonio Witherspoon, and a cherished brother to his sisters Doris (Darren) Jackson, Tanya (James) Neal, and Terra (Faison) Bell.

Beyond his family, Morris was known for his adventurous spirit. He loved traveling the world, fishing, and playing a good game of dominoes. He was also known for his love for Dutch Bro's Coffee and his yearly tradition of dressing up to scare kids during Halloween, showcasing his funny, playful side. His larger-than-life personality was a testament to his belief in living life to the fullest. As Helen Keller once said, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."

Morris is survived by his son, Antonio, his parents, Morris Jr. and Estelle Giron, and his sisters, Doris (Darren) Jackson, Tanya (James) Neal, and Terra (Faison) Bell. Bonus children, Tywan Carter, Tyisha Carter, Tyree Carter and Tyron Carter; and a host of many other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie and Jose Giron, Doris and Morris Witherspoon Sr., and his cousins, Sherri Giron and Fred Goode.
