On Wednesday April 10th 1991 the Sun shined bright on Yolonda Abram and Michael Jones Sr. as they welcomed their prince Michael Cortez Jones Jr. Their second born and their only son. Eldest sister Myqueshia and little sister Majanae were as close as siblings could be, often referring to one another as their bestfriends "All for one and one for All". Growing up Michael was a leader who was never afraid to show love and affection to those he cared for most. A young King with a heart of GOLD! Affectionately known to his family as "Scudda" and no matter how old he was and where he went he would always be our Scudda. He had this amazing ability to know exactly what to say to encourage you at the time you needed it most. Michael was a natural entertainer, whether it was playing sports with his cousins or making up rap songs he loved to have a good time. We could always count on Michael to come with the jokes. There wasn't a time or place that he couldn't make you laugh with his beautiful smile and infectious energy.
Even as a young man, God and Family was very important to him. Michael was true to his faith and was never shy about speaking to all that would listen about his relationship and love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Like a true man of honor, Michael was quick to defend the people he loved and lend a helping hand.
Micheal was very intelligent and valued education. He attended School in both Denver and Aurora Colorado. Graduating High School in 2009 from Rite of Passage. In 2010 he met and married Devan Jumper and in 2012 they welcomed their first child a baby girl named My'Zariea Dorea Jones. Michael then welcomed his first son Dakaurye Jones. In 2014 arrived twins Scotlyn love Jones and Micah Marie Jones, In 2016London Jones arrived and 2020 welcomed his name sake Michael Cortez Jones 3rd (Mtrae). Michael was a provider and worked many jobs to support his family. However nothing compared to his job as a parent. Michael loved being a Dad! He loved hanging out with all of his children, cooking doing their hair, going to their sporting event or just playing around the house. Michael was a father to many and he enjoyed every part of it even children that weren't his you couldn't tell the difference. He was a SUPER DAD and he loved them all! He was so proud to be a father! He saw himself and all the wonderful things he contributed to this world in each of his children.
