Obituary

Melvin Dwayne Williams was born December 6, 1964 to the union of Melvin Lee Williams and Charlsie Lee Williams. He was the fourth born of eight children. Growing up he was obsessed with music, cars, running with his friends, chasing after his older brother Anthony, playing football, and basketball. His lively personality, fiery attitude and incredible strength was no match for anyone as child not even as an adult. His sister Chrisha Ann always said he was born to be a protector much like his father. Wayne, as many would call him was considered a trend setter. He was well known and looked up to not only by his younger brother Brian but by so many others throughout Parkhill. It was his amazing sense of style and fashion that often set him apart. His loyalty was true and ran deep just ask his best friends Stew, Larry, Lamar, Rollo, David, and Kenny.

As a child Wayne attended Church with his grandparents Ethel and HJ Adams. He was baptized at the age of six. He attended Denver public schools and was set to graduate from George Washington High School. Over the years he gained the most important title, becoming a father. In 1985 he met his teenage sweetheart, Sherrie James. They were blessed with two daughters Da'Mesha James and Melresha Williams. His caring heart and kind nature showed true when he continuously took care of Sherrie's mother Marden James up until the day she passed. In 1994 he met Darnella Ward and was blessed with another daughter, Brittany Ward. There was nothing that meant more to Melvin Dwayne than family especially spending time with his children laughing and creating lasting memories. Wayne loved working with his hands and showing off just how strong he was and developed a deep passion for working. He began his work journey at RTD working as a maintenance attendant. Taking note of his strength he began working at Cort moving company and later transitioned to Student Movers where an injury on the job ended his career.

In 2009 Melvin Dwayne met Stephanie Sillemon who became his beloved wife in 2012. They spent ten wonderful years together. He made sure to indicate his love for her no matter where he went. He gained a special relationship with her children as they took to him as a father figure. To know Melvin, you couldn't help but to love him and most importantly respect him. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every waking moment of it. You would often find him expressing his love and enjoyment through music, dancing and wrapping you in his warm and tight embrace.

On August 21, 2022 Melvin Dwayne gained his heavenly wings.
