Mattziria graced this world with her presence in Detroit Michigan on June 23, 1955, blessed to Ceaster and Matthew Bey. Mattziria was the youngest of 6 children. Mattziria attended Chadsey High School in Detroit Michigan, and later went to college. Mattziria's family called her Mackie, her friends called her Mattie.
Mackie loved to sing, dance, and play cards. Mackie and her sisters had a singing group called the Starletts , and Mackie was the lead singer. Mackie was not shy, and she had a beautiful voice. Mackie won a singing contest and was to appear on the popular tv show Starlit Stairway.
Mackie gave birth to two children Chalicha and Channon Bey in Detroit. Later Mackie married and in 1979 moved to Denver Colorado where she later gave birth to two additional children Christopher and Kimetta Jordan. Mackie had a quiet demeanor about herself. She was a deep thinker. Mackie had a large place in her heart for spiritual things like, praying, meditating, and reading her Bible often.
Mackie was a creative soul who had the ability to touch the lives of those around her. Mackie would brighten anyone's day with endless laughs and smiles. Mackie's compassionate nature was evident in every interaction she had. The most beautiful things in the world can not be seen or even touched; they must be felt from the heart.
