Martha Elaine Brandon, a charismatic, loving, and loyal woman of 76 years, peacefully departed this life on October 28, 2025, in Arvada, Colorado. Born on March 21, 1949, in Taylor, Texas, to Henry L. "LH" and Emma Lee "Minnie" (Crisp) Morgan,
Martha was a beacon of joy and laughter to everyone around her. Despite her quiet demeanor, Martha had a knack for humor that could instantly light up a room. She spent her early years in Georgetown, Texas, before moving to Colorado, where she spent the majority of her life. Martha's love for the culinary arts was a defining part of her life. With her restaurant-quality cooking, she delighted many and generously shared her coveted recipes with those lucky enough to taste her exquisite dishes. As Julia Child once said, "The act of cooking is one of giving. You're giving a little bit of your life to somebody else."
Martha's life was an embodiment of unconditional love and dedication, especially towards her family. She raised her children—Ollie Ray Brandon Jr, Terrence Brandon, and Minnie Brandon—in both Texas and Colorado, instilling in them values of compassion, resilience, and integrity. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye; their happiness was her ultimate joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Douglas Morgan, Jimmie Morgan, sister Anne Marie, and the father of her children, Ollie Ray Brandon Sr.
Surviving Martha are her children, Ollie, Terrence, and Minnie; her grandchildren, Trevon, Ray Janelle, Ollie Ray (lil Ray), NiRay, DeAndre, Devontre, Nicole, Terence Jr, ZhaTresia, Elijah, Isaiah, and Latavia; her siblings, Gloria Houston, Larry Morgan, and Stacy Morgan; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Her legacy is not only carried on by her family but also by the countless lives she touched with her vibrant personality and warm heart.
As we bid farewell to Martha, we celebrate her life and the precious memories she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Martha's love and joy were indeed felt by all
who were fortunate to know her.
