Mamie Lee Earvin Holt was the 6th of 12 children born to Ike and Leatha Mae Earvin on February 28,
1946 and gained her wings on November 20, 2025.
She started her education at Hickory School in Hickory, Mississippi. She was a member of Bethel Baptist
Church in Hickory. She graduated as Valedictorian from Hickory High School.
The family moved to Denver Colorado. She married Thomas Adams. She lived in Las Vegas and married
Charles Holt, both husbands preceded her in death. She worshiped God in Central Baptist Church,
Heritage Christian Center, The Potters House and Hope City churches all in the Denver Metro area.
Aunt Mamie enjoyed and attended all Earvin and Davis family reunions, even the biggest multi-family
reunion held in Denver in 2024. She always participated in the planning of the reunions and fundraisers.
She was one of the first to always support financially and she made the biggest pots of food for each
reunion that was planned in Denver, and all the family gatherings in Denver.
She was a hard worker who believed in being on time and very efficient. In addition to being a wonderful
and dependable sister to her family, she worked and retired from the Federal Department of HUD. She
truly enjoyed giving support to her family, attending the different family events at each of our churches.
You could always count on her to show up in God's House.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ike and Leatha Mae Earvin; husbands Thomas Adams and
Charles Holt; brothers Ike Johnson Jr, Willie James Earvin, Charlie Earvin, John Willie Johnson, Willie
Lee Johnson; and sisters Angie Davis, Geneva Chapman, Annie Mae Evans-Moore. She leaves to cherish
her memories: her sisters Edna Ruth Jones, Ruby Johnson, Denver/Aurora, CO; Aunt Aronia Poitier,
Willis, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
She truly made a wonderful impact on the lives of everyone around her and everyone she met; she will be
missed by her family, friends, and community.
