It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Marie Jefferson, known affectionately as Lisa, who departed this life on December 18th, 2024. Born on July 29th, 1961, in Kansas City, MO, Lisa was a beacon of strength and resilience, a woman who, in the words of Maya Angelou, "thrived with passion, compassion, humor, and style."
Lisa made her home in Denver, Colorado, where she embraced the beauty and spirit of the Rocky Mountains. She had an infectious laugh and an adventurous spirit that captivated everyone who had the fortune of crossing her path. Lisa had a unique ability to find joy in the simplest of things, reminding us all to appreciate life's everyday moments. Her love for her family was a defining aspect of her life. Despite her marital status, Lisa was a pillar of strength and support to her loved ones, always offering words of wisdom and encouragement.
Lisa is survived by her children, Alessia X Jefferson (Des Moines, IA), Christina L Jefferson (Atlanta, GA) and Christopher I Jefferson (Atlanta, GA) who remember their mother as a strong, loving, and caring woman who taught them the importance of kindness and perseverance. Her siblings, Carl Lee (Mansfield, TX), Carla Daniel (Atlanta, GA) and Curtis Boyd (KansasCity, MO), fondly recall their sister's vivacious spirit, her zest for life, and the enduring bond they shared. They will continue to honor Lisa's legacy by living their lives with the same zest and courage she exemplified.
