With a spirit as vibrant as the art she loved, Lily Mae Fadeyi-Williams (1944 - 2023) lived a life brimming with compassion, creativity, and adventure. Born in Chicago, IL, on September 26, 1944, Lily was the embodiment of Maya Angelou's words, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." Known to many by her radio persona, Godlili44, she colored the world with her exuberant spirit, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know her.

A true entrepreneur, Lily was never one to shy away from a challenge. She approached life with a spirited determination that was infectious, inspiring all those around her. Her love for art and music was only surpassed by her dedication to her family and her commitment to helping` those in need. As the host of a beloved radio show, Lily used her platform to uplift others, her voice a beacon of hope and comfort for countless listeners. Her compassionate nature was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in all her endeavors, both personal and professional.

Lily is survived by her daughters, Dushwan Dickerson, Sheila Epps, Geneva Crosby, Zina Crosby and Cassandra Crosby-Jackson; and her sons, Darrell Crosby and Alonzo Crosby. She also leaves behind her siblings, Wileen Gardner, Alfred Brown, Sheila Thomas, Catherine Thomas, Lalitha Thomas, and Geraldine Thomas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brownie Brown and Mary Williamson; and her siblings, Laura Brown, Huey Brown, and Eugene Thomas.

In the words of Emily Dickinson, "Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality." Lily Fadeyi-Williams' vibrant spirit lives on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and adventurous spirit.
