It is with love and remembrance that we celebrate the life of LeRoy Walton, born on November 16, 1956, in Macon, Georgia, and passed away on April 6, 2026. As his daughter, Salinda, I am honored to share his story with you. LeRoy was a charismatic soul with a unique blend of wit, humor, and intelligence, making him a beloved figure in our lives. His magnetic personality drew people to him, and his quick wit always guaranteed a smile.
LeRoy was an ardent lover of life's simple pleasures. He spent hours watching western movies, a reflection of his love for the genre's unvarnished grit and heroism. His love for pool was not only a hobby but a testament to his patience and strategic thinking. LeRoy's smart strategies and funny antics at the pool table brought joy to many. His passion for reading was insatiable, and his intellect and curiosity were reflected in the wide range of books he enjoyed.
LeRoy was the cherished son of Ben and Willie Mae Walton, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a loving brother to Eunice, Elfleta, and Willa McClain (James-deceased), and was also predeceased by his siblings Gail, Julia, Ben Jr., Linda, and Margaret Jean Walker. He is remembered with love by his daughter, Salinda Williams, and his nieces and nephews: Ursula Balkcom, James McClain, Adria McClain, Kelvin Walton, Bertram Martin, Dorothy Walker, and Yana Walker. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Terrance Watson, and his niece, Debra Walker.
LeRoy's life was a testament to the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." His charismatic personality, funny anecdotes, and witty humor have left an indelible mark on our hearts. He will forever be remembered and cherished.
