Keyana A. Jones departed this life to the embrace of The Lord on July 18, 2024 in Denver, Colorado. Keyana A. Jones was born January 21, 1980 in Cheyenne Wyoming to her parents Neal O'Dell Jones Sr. and Karen Michelle Jones. She was the second child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers Neal O'Dell Jones Jr. and Fredrick D. Edwards. As a child, Keyana was playful, humorous and high- spirited. She loved to eat, play with her childhood friends, go to church, sing in the choir, and travel, and she enjoyed spending time with her brothers.
Growing up, Keyana A. Jones attended Park Hill Elementary, Simley Middle School and East High School. While she attended school she loved her classes such as art, drawing, literature, swimming, and music. Later on she got a diploma at Emily Griffith 2nd Chance High School. Growing up in her teenage years, she loved spending time with her brothers and her best friends Janee Moore,Winter Hicks, Danielle Ray, Rhonda Zackery, Tanya Hamilton, and Jena Anders, also known as Peaches. They sang African songs, played music, and traveled together, explored the city of Denver, and always had a good time.
Keyana A. Jones had an extraordinary personality: Soft spoken, not easily rattled, a gangsta chick, she didn't play; she was the type to cuss you out nicely and then feed you. Her heart overflowed with love and devotion to her family and friends. Keyana was a beacon of Joy and Strength, passionately dedicating herself to all she did. Her strength and compassion as a mother were unmatched, and her children will forever carry her spirit with them. Keyana was a woman of faith and belief in the Lord and was a member of the House of Joy Miracle Deliverance Church in Denver, Colorado. She joined in September 1986. She also was a member of God Side Youth Group, where she expanded her horizons doing charity work serving the Lord in her community and around the world.
By profession, Keyana was employed by many jobs, but she had exceptional customer service skills. She was hardworking, dedicated, and always had a beautiful smile that was calming and reassuring. She admired her job and was always respected by her co-worker and supervisors.
Keyana was known to be fun, outgoing, and unapologetically herself. In her free time, she loved playing Guitar Hero, karaoke nights, puzzles, cooking with her family, dancing everyday, and she loved to party. Keyana enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, social events, listening to her music also known as Kiki Hits leaving you with laughter and tears. On the weekends she loved to go out on dates like going to the park, Botanical Gardens, concerts, jazz festivals, Juneteenth, school events, family BBQ's and more. Keyana will be missed by all her family and friends and those who were fortunate enough to have known and were blessed by this kind and amazing woman who leaves a void that can never be filled.
Keyana A. Jones was a proud mother of three beautiful children to her: First born is Trevian McBride, her second born is A'Lishaun Kirkendall Jones, and her youngest is Jerzell Jayden Handsome Love. She nurtured her children with boundless affection and care, leaving an indelible mark on our lives. She made sure to teach her children about the Lord and how to serve him through her vibrant personality and infectious laughter and her continuous unconditional love to Him. Later on she was blessed with six nieces, Alana, Amarie, Ahrianna, Ta'Lahja, De'Ajanae and Ze'ila, and three nephews, Isaiah, Tarrel, and Rajuan. She leaves a host of cousins and other relatives and many friends. Keyana's life was a beautiful example of what it means to love deeply and live fully. Her legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her
