Kathleen Kay Mosher (1955-2025)
Her infectious laughter and genuine kindness always brought a wave of joy to anyone she encountered. She had a presence that made everyone around her shine and she always saw the good in people. Kathleen Kay Mosher, 69, of Augusta, Montana, died in Aurora, Colorado, on March 19, 2025.
She was born in Augusta in 1955 to Gerald and Nola Mosher who always worked hard for the ones they loved the most and they didn't tell her how to to live; but lived and let her watch them do it. She grew up on a ranch with her parents and 2 sisters. She was a cheerleader, athlete and at the top of her class academically. She attended high school in Augusta before going to college in Missoula at the University of Montana. She made many good friends, traveled and had her first child. Her first career after college started at Hughes Aircraft Company which later became Raytheon, where she was a financial advisor. She worked for the company for 20 years before moving on.
She had two beautiful daughters, Mikala and Lauren, who she loved and was very proud of. She had 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Demarco II, Kaleb, Kirsten, Pablo IV and a great grandchild, Koda. Kathi's favorite roll was being their nana. She said the time she spent with her grandkids was good medicine. She never failed to supply them with special treats, all the attention and giving each of them exactly what they needed. She loved us being all together, telling stories and playing games.
She was very close to her mom, Nola, her 2 sisters, Shelly and Dana, plus their children and grandchildren. She was in Montana regularly and spent as much time with her family as she could. Over the years, she was filled with hope, love and joy to go through some of the best and worst times with her family. She was grateful for the memories of her family together and for their love, strength and faith.
She had many great friends throughout her life that she considered as close as family. She recently retired and relocated to Colorado where she lived with her partner Cliff. She treasured their time together, as did he.
Kathi will always be remembered for her kindness and the way that she always brought out the best in people. We'll always imagine hearing her say, "be the things you loved most about the people who are gone." We couldn't have asked for a better mom, nana, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and will miss Kathi every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Kathi was preceded in death by her dad, Gerald (Jerry), her nephews, Josh and Matt, and is survived by her mom, Nola.
Celebration of Life to be held August 3, 2025 at the Augusta Cemetery in Montana with a reception to follow.
