Charles Justin (Quic) Bryant, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 24, 2024. He was born on October 22, 1983, to Renee Bryant and Micheal Hoffman in Denver, Colorado. Justin touched the lives of everyone he encountered along his journey and will be missed profoundly by all who knew him.
Justin was born and raised in East Denver. After graduating from Manual High School in 2002, he attended the Community College of Denver (CCD) and Metro State University (MSU). Post-schooling, he explored many career paths but always held positions that involved helping people. He had the most generous heart.
Justin received his nickname "Quic" because he was quick at anything he put his mind to—football, track, mathematics—he was quick on his feet. He excelled at football and track while attending Manual High School and even competed in a national track competition. Justin was a devout Denver Broncos fan. Whether winning or losing, they were always Superbowl bound. Nothing made Quic happier than a good lamb chop, supporting local artists and sports, and the opportunity to make a wager no matter what it was on.
His greatest achievement, by far, was becoming a father to his three beautiful children, Jalen, Jordan, and Jae'da. Quic provided for his family and ensured his children never went without. He never missed a birthday, school program, or graduation. There was no distance too far for his children. Fashion was a crucial part of Quic's identity, so it was only natural that his children wore the latest and greatest. He wanted his kids, family, and those close to him to live unapologetically in the moment, eating crab legs without spilling butter on your J's.
Growing up, he was no stranger to loved ones passing away before their time. A byproduct of this experience was strength and a developed motto to live life to the fullest daily. Many would say Justin was the "life of the party." He was present for every birthday, wedding, reception, dinner, and weekly Tuesday get-together. A big smile and a gleaming light always accompanied his presence. He had a fantastic sense of humor; doing impersonations of Fire Marshal Bill and Wanda from In Living Color always filled the room with laughter.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Micheal Hoffman. Justin is survived by his mother, Renee "Akara" Bryant; his incredible children, Jalen (Shaniah), Jordan, and Jae'da Bryant; his partner, Brittany Scott; his soon-to-be first-born grandson, Ka'dai Emro Bryant; His brothers, Jare "Lay Low", Michael "Coray" (Valencia), and James "Baba" (Danielle); Jordan's mother, Kecia Rogers (Howard); Kecia's children, Shemar Turner and Kennedi Shepard; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many cousins, aunts, and friends near and far.
Charles Justin "Quic" Bryant, may you continue to be the life of the party in the next.
