John Alex Brown Jr was born February 11, 1962, to John A. Brown Sr and Marynell Horton in Denver, CO. John was the third child and oldest son to Marynell Horton. John was raised by his step- father Richard B. Horton Sr. His siblings Monoiette Adams, Maxine Horton, Kelli Shelton, Scott Horton, Richard Horton Jr., Jacqline Horton, and Robin Horton all lovingly called him "Jackie".
Jackie went to Emily Griffith for computer programming and then worked as a junior programmer for the City and County of Denver. Later he went to work as a produce manager at FBC foods. Jackie was a jack of all trades. He also had a barbering license. He got his plumbing certificate as well and was known for the motto "if it don't go down call John Brown."
Jackie loved cars and candy; his favorite treat was lemon heads. One of his favorite past times was to watch movies. His collection was full of comedies. Jackie was known for his impeccable style, he always had his suits, shoes, and hats matching.
Jackie was a familiar face in the community, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He cherished his daughter Jackee Renee Brown their close bond was evident to all who knew him. Jackie also loved Marcus Davis who he affectionally called his grandson.
Jackie's devoted partner Lashia Santana was with him until his passing. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Jackie was proceeded in death by his father John A. Brown Sr, and step-father Richard B. Horton Sr.
Jackie leaves to cherish his memory his mother, his daughter, devoted partner, siblings as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
