Jerry Fisher, born on April 17th, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas to Earnestine T. Fisher and Lester C. Fisher, departed from us on January 15th, 2025. A dedicated son, brother, and friend, Jerry moved to Denver in 1961 with his siblings. There he attended Gilpin Elementary, Cole Middle, and Manual High School, graduating in 1974. Fondly remembered as a charismatic character, he was known for his love of music and never missed a gathering or a concert. This passion led him to play the trumpet alongside his brothers James and Lester in the Caution Band during his high school years.
Jerry was a supportive figure in his community. He worked with Wade Titus in the Carpenters Union, contributing to constructions such as Coors Field. A generous man, he used his off time to help around 5 points with Mrs. Zona and her pig-ear stand. His love for helping others led him to start his own landscaping/handyman service, Big Fish Little Fish, while also ensuring that he was there for his loved ones. He was a devoted father to Rodney Morgan and Bakida Fisher, and a loving husband to Marva Kenoly, whom he married on July 7th, 2000, and stayed with until his last days. After the passing of his sister Rhonda, he selflessly took on the mantle to raise her children, Aspyn Fisher and Avrianna Clark, and later on Danin Jackson.
Jerry is survived by his wife Marva Fisher, his children Rodney Morgan and Bakida Fisher, and his brother Lester Fisher. His cherished nieces and nephews, Avrianna Clark, Aspyn Fisher, Danin Jackson, Tiffany Mitchell, Lester Fisher Jr., Evelyn Coleman, Brian Fisher, LaTonya Green, Auginette Parker and DeShaun Fisher. Carl and Sheri McCay will also remember him fondly as well. He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Earnestine Fisher, and his siblings Rhonda, Herman, James, and Norma Fisher.
