With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeramy Deon Sillemon, affectionately known as "Hungry," born on June 23, 1989, in Denver, CO,. Jeramy was a beacon of light in the lives of those he touched, characterized by his ambitious spirit, creative prowess, loyalty to those he loved, and an unforgettable sense of humor that filled rooms with laughter.
Jeramy Deon Sillemon, a man whose journey began in the vibrant city of Denver,
Colorado on June 23, 1989. Born to the loving parents Denetta Jo Sillemon-Mills and
Preston Lamont Pierce, Jeramy's childhood was guided by the presence of his
stepfather, James Ray Mills SR. As fate would have it, Jeramy was also blessed with a
twin brother named Jermaine and there bond was unbreakable, along with his other siblings Clinton (Jermar), Lavar, Yulijah, Kingston, Cherokee, LaJuan, Nyree, Emmalee, Brittani, and Ka'Miya. Jeramy was surrounded by a large and loving family.
He was educated in the Denver Public School District, beginning at Brown Elementary School where he shared unforgettable moments with his brother Jermaine and cousin Arthur. Later, he embarked on a new chapter at many different public schools, where he shared fond memories with his cousins he attended school with. He developed his passion for the ladies in middle school and it flourished into his adult life.
Jeramy's determination and motivation started there. He carried a can-do personality,
and he refused to lose.
Jeramy spent most of his life in Colorado. While he was employed at Special Logistics and Waste Management Colorado. Jeramy, was a free spirit who did what he wanted. Jeramy was an entrepreneur at heart, constantly seeking new ways to provide for his family and "stand on business." He was a mentor to many, often sharing words of wisdom and "life lectures" with his nephews and younger cousins. He believed in encouraging the younger generation to chase their dreams relentlessly. He was the life of the party and a natural comedian.
Jeramy was always true to himself and never pretended to be someone he wasn't he spoke his mind and told you how he felt. He had a unique personality that everyone loved. He was a DJ at family gatherings, filling the air with music, laughter, and joy, always heading straight to the kitchen to see what was cooked, hoping it was gumbo or alfredo, embodying his nickname, "Hungry." He was known for addressing his siblings and cousins for how they rank in age compared to him big or little, Remembered for letting you know that was "dumb huh".
An avid lover of rap music and rapping to instrumental beats, his words often echoing the sentiments of his heart and reflecting his experiences. In his early teen years, life bestowed upon him the precious gift of fatherhood as he welcomed his first daughter, Na'Jailah Sillemon with her mother Charise Richards. This joy multiplied with the arrival of two more children, T'onnah Sillemon and Jay'Deon Sillemon with their mother T'Sharla Jones, whom he cherished with every fiber of his being. Jeramy's story is about love, family, and the pursuit of dreams. His children were the center of his universe, and he cherished every moment spent with them - from regular father and son trips to the barber shop to getting his daughter's hair done. He loved to be fly and wanted his children to share in his flyness, which is why you could often find them at the mall. His bond with his best friend Faso was unbreakable, often heard saying, "we the mob". When you saw one, you saw the other. He was always motivated and looked up to his big brother Clinton (Jermar).
Jeramy's faith was a guiding light in his life. Baptized as a Baptist at the tender age of eight. His faith was a testament to his strength and resilience, a comfort to those he leaves behind.
Jeramy's love for his family and friends was deep. He made sure to spend time with
them, whether it was through regular phone calls, facetimes, visits, or even just sending a quick text to check-in. He knew that relationships were meaningful in life, and he made sure to keep up with care and attention. In the years before Jeramy's passing, many have reflected on the impact he had on their lives. His legacy lives on through, the countless people he touched with his, kindness, compassion, and inclusiveness. He's remembered for waking any sleeping kid up, just so he could greet them and make sure they are all right. His lack of filter and straightforward personality, will be missed. He showed us all what it truly means to be a good friend, father, a loving family member, and a force in the world.
Jeramy is survived by his children, Na'Jailah, T'Onnah, and Jay'Deon Sillemon; his father, Preston Price; siblings, Clinton (Jermar), Lavar, Yulijah, Kingston, Cherokee, LaJuan, Nyree, Emmalee, Brittani, and Ka'Miya.His nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and loved ones will forever cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his mother, Denetta Jo Sillemon- Mills; twin brother, Jermaine Sillemon; stepfather, James Ray Mills Sr.; grandmother, Albertia Sillemon; grandfather, Joseph Jones and cousin, Robert Sillemon
