Obituary

Jerald Parker, Jr. was born into this world on Mother's Day, May 9, 1976, to his parents, Jerald Sr. and Charlesetta Parker. He was the third of five children and the child that brought the Parker family back together. Jerald was the ultimate test of love and courage as he showed no fear or regard for danger. As a child, his younger brother, Charles would follow him around. Charles came back a little worse for wear sometimes but that didn't stop him from wanting to hang out with his big brother.

Allotted the opportunity to travel as his father was in the military, Jerald was able to experience many different places like California, Tennessee, Arizona, and Japan. He settled in Colorado at the age of 12. Jerry, as he was referred to by his family and friends, attended several schools in the Denver Metro area including Hinkley, George Washington, and Lakewood High Schools. He met his best friend, Joaquin JoJola in 1996, and they have been kickin' it ever since.

A few years later, Jerry met and fell in love with Mary Pate. Jerry told his sister that he messed that one up and wished he had another opportunity to do things differently. However, through that union, they birthed Jerry's twin, Jerald Herman Parker III aka Jerry Pate.

Recently, Jerry obtained his Commercial Driver's License, CDL, and was looking at a promising career driving trucks. He was supposed to start on Monday, but Monday never came for him. We suppose God needed him more.

Despite his challenging upbringing, Jerry took all the trouble that found him; he was a survivor. He found a way out of any situation he got himself into, and he did it with a smile on his face. To know Jerry was to know he always had a smile on his face. Jerry had the biggest heart and would give you whatever you needed if he had it to give. He always gave advice too. Like when he told his sister to keep a loaf of bread in her car and how it saved him on many occasions.

Anytime you saw Jerry, he always had his Broncos gear on. So today we dub you an honorary Bronco and we salute you. You have run your last play on the field and God said it is time to hang up the jersey and pick up your wings.

"We were not prepared for you to leave us soon and we deeply miss and love you. Till we see you again in heaven keep watch over us."

Jerry leaves behind to grieve his son, Jerald Herman Pate; parents, Charlesetta Parker and Jerald Herman Parker Sr.; his sisters, Ferlisa Parker, Darzella Williams, Latoya (Kalum) Harris; brother, Charles (Adrianna) Parker; nieces and nephews, Telissa Parker, De'Voun Williams, Brittney Maloy (Francis Kentris), De'Ahnra Williams, Shyree Maloy, D'Era Williams, Kalum Harris Jr, Eric Parker, Terrance Parker, Elainna Parker, Giovanni Kentris, Kallen Parker, Xavior Parker, Jershy Maloy-Harris; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The Parker Family is asking that you Hug and tell those special to you that you love them because no man knows the day nor hour God will call them home.
