The sun rose on the life of Mr. Jeffrey Harold "Re-Run" Rice on March 27, 1960, in Richmond, IN to Luetta A. Hurd and Robert Rice Sr. He was also raised by his Stepfather Harrison Hurd. Jeffrey is the oldest of four. As a child he was adventurous and courageous. He enjoyed spending quality time with his grandparents where he engaged in fishing and cooking.
He attended Richmond High School and at the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Army. In 1980, he relocated to Denver, CO where he met the love of his life Ms. Evivian Quick. In 1985 they had their first child Cody Lamar Rice who preceded him in death. This was a devastating loss for him being that it was his first born son. Later in 1991 his second born "The Key to his Heart" Kiki Chawntay Rice was born and 2 years later the world was made bright with his baby girl Bryaunna La'Shae Rice.
By profession he worked for the City of Aurora in construction, working his way into becoming a supervisor. Later in life he became a journeyman plumber which fulfilled his lifetime passion.
He loved fishing, cooking/baking and barbecuing. He also loved listening to all types of music; however, gospel was his favorite. He enjoyed laughing, spending time with his family and friends (that he did have) because he didn't mind being alone. A fond memory was hearing him say, "Hey Ki what are we eating for Sunday Dinner" or if it was Friday, "hey let's have a Fish Fry". No matter who you were, he opened his arms up to you with love.
