James Shannon Bender, of Pueblo West, died unexpectedly on March 24, 2023. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Shannon was born on July 20, 1967, in Montrose, CO to parents Jim and Lea Bender and lived in Pueblo West for most of his life.
After Shannon graduated from High School, he worked in different odd jobs, enjoying the variety of life.
Shannon's hobbies included his love of music, automobiles, and motorcycles. He enjoyed four wheeling and taking road trips. Shannon was a lover of laughing, food, television, and movies. He was an avid history enthusiast.
Shannon is predeceased by his mother. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Melissa; his father Jim; his brothers, Shawn (Amber) Bender, Shane (Donna) Bender, Brandon (Andrea) Bender; his nephews, Logan, Evan, James, and Connor. Shannon and Melissa had many animals throughout their life together. He was a true animal lover and cared for his pets including a turtle, cats, and his beloved dog, Duke.
Shannon will be forever loved and forever remembered. No services will take place, as Shannon requested.
