Obituary

George Anthony "Tony" Williams, born March 17, 1960, in Austin, Texas, was the second child born to George and Nancy Williams. When Tony was 3 years old, he moved with his family to Denver, Colorado.

Tony was an outstanding student at Steadman and Evans Elementary schools, Smiley Junior High School,
and Denver South High School. He was very intelligent and throughout his life was always eager to learn more about any and everything. He could read a book in a matter of hours. In high school, football coaches would try to recruit him because of his size, but Tony's passion was the drama club. He was in several plays in high school including South Pacific and even played the Queen of Hearts in a production of Alice in Wonderland.

Tony was always the jokester of the family. He was the only boy in the house with three sisters, Terry, Charlotte, and Rachel. He was always pranking, harassing, teasing, and joking with his sisters. On the flip side, he was very protective of them. Just his sheer size was a deterrent to messing with any one of them!

Tony worked several jobs as a young man, from paper routes to mattress sales. As he grew older, he thrived as a manager at several restaurants where he met his wife-to-be, Patti Allison. During their time together they had three beautiful children, Jessica, Eric, and Danielle. He loved and adored his children. Though the marriage came to an end, they continued to remain close friends. Tony also had a son Sean with Christy Bolin.

Later in life, Tony worked as a delivery driver, which suited him perfectly. It was impressive to see him pick up an entire washing machine or mattress and carry it into someone's home. When he wasn't
working, he was always giving away returned furniture and delivering it to anyone who was in need. If you needed him for anything, he would be there. He was one that would truly give you the shirt off of his back or his last dime.

Tony fought a long hard health battle in the final years of his life and was so grateful to have his daughter Danielle and Son in Law Anthony take such amazing care of him. He would still laugh as much as he could in spite of his declining health. There was never anyone as kind and gentle as this giant-hearted man who will be missed and loved so very much by so many.

On March 9, 2023, in Aurora, Colorado, George Anthony Williams transitioned from this world with his family by his side. Tony is survived by his children, Danielle (Anthony) Aguirre, Jessica Williams, Eric Williams, and Sean Williams; his mother, Nancy Jefferson; his sisters, Terry Combs, Charlotte (Gary) Hall, Rachel (Clark) Brown-Spencer and Roxanne Green; grandchildren, Destiny, Jordan, Anthony, Ajani, Aiden, and Jaymi; great-grandson, Lyndon, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children, other relatives, and many friends.
