Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Floyd Edward "Ed" Lee, who left us on January 15, 2025. Born in Pontiac, Michigan on September 18, 1950, Floyd made his journey to Strasburg, Colorado in 1977, where he immersed himself in the splendor of the Rockies, the warmth of the people, and his enduring love for classic cars.

Floyd was a man of simple pleasures and profound depths. He was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School and had a full and rewarding career that allowed him to retire in contentment. As Maya Angelou wisely said, "Success is loving life and daring to live it." Floyd lived his life with a daring love for fast cars and a gentle dedication to his family. His fascination with classic cars was not just a hobby, but a passion that fueled his spirit. He was a man who found joy in the roar of an engine, the gleam of polished chrome, and the companionship of fellow enthusiasts.

Floyd is survived by his loving daughters Tammy (David) Lee, Michelle (Dave) Lathrop, and Beth (Eddie) Ware, as well as his sister Linda (Dick) Goldsworthy. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Millie Lee, his ex-wife Cathleen Lee, and his siblings Peggy Thorne and Bob Lee. As Alfred Lord Tennyson penned, "I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it when I sorrow most; 'tis better to have loved than never to have loved at all." Floyd's love for his family and his passion for life will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him
