Douglas Ray Ford, lovingly known as Douggie Fresh, was born on May 4, 1971, in Colby, Kansas, to Pamela Sue Ford and Allen Ford. Douglas peacefully passed away on February 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, strength, and faith.

Douglas was raised in Denver, Colorado, where he attended Denver Public Schools. He later earned his barbering license from Emily Griffith Opportunity School, a craft he took great pride in and used not only as a profession but as a way to connect with and uplift others. Always striving to grow and give back, Douglas was currently enrolled at Aurora Community College, working toward his degree as a Substance Abuse Counselor, determined to help others overcome life's challenges.

Douglas was more than a student and barber — he was a mentor to many. He poured wisdom, encouragement, and real-life experience into those who looked up to him. He believed in second chances, growth, and guiding others toward a better path. Douglas was also a very spiritual man whose faith grounded him and gave him strength. He often spoke words of hope and inspiration, reminding others to keep pushing forward no matter the circumstances.

At one time, Douglas was married to Stacy Fields, and from that union he was blessed with three beautiful children: Samanthia, Joshua, and Octavia, all of Denver. He was also a proud grandfather of three grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Douglas is survived by his two sisters: Trina Ford of Denver and Crystal Ford-Myers (Jonathan) of Denver. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who loved him deeply.

Known by many nicknames — Uncle Thug, Douggie Fresh, Doug Pugg, and Douggie — Douglas had a personality that could never be forgotten. He was creative, expressive, and full of life. His many hobbies included art and drawing, poetry, music, rapping, barbering, watching movies, hunting, fishing, and sports. Douglas had a passion for expression, mentorship, and connection, and he shared his talents and heart freely with those around him.

Douglas Ray Ford will be deeply and truly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his family, his faith, his creativity, and the many lives he touched.
