Dexter Carl Mosely Trammer was born on March 20, 1962, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, to his parents, Tom Mosely and Nettie Mae Knight Mosely. He was the fifth child born in the family. His siblings Robert Newkirk, Lenard Harper, Gilbert Mosely, Arnett Mosely, and Etta Mosely Trammer remember Dexter being baptized at the Tulane Baptist Church in Yazoo City, Mississippi at the age of two. As a child, he liked to go hunting and fishing almost every weekend. He was crafty with his hands and loved helping his father build houses and work on the farm. He was the family driver by the age of twelve, and he would drive the family's stick shift truck all over town.

Dexter attended Wolfork Elementary School, Wolfork Middle School, and Benton High School in Benton, Mississippi. He attended Job Corp in Jacob Creek, Tennessee, earning certificates in heavy equipment operation, construction, and landscaping.

He was the proud father of Tina, Alicia, Shenna, and Renna Trammer, and "PaPa," as they would lovingly call him, to Amaya and Amari. Their fondest memory of their Papa was him giving them money.

Employed at several hospitals as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Dexter worked and performed at a level of excellence until he retired.

He liked to spend his leisure time with his friends in the community. His closest friend was Lee Clark. Dexter will be remembered as always, being there for his friends, being strong, and being someone they looked up to and respected.

Dexter Carl Mosely Trammer departed this life on October 24, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, grandchildren, siblings, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
