A bright light that touched so many hearts, De’Quan Harris took his final bow far too soon. Born on September 24, 2012, in Denver, Colorado, De’Quan was a radiant spirit—full of life, love, resilience, laughter, and undeniable talent. His journey, though far too short, was filled with the kind of energy and joy that made people feel better just by being around him. He loved his family deeply, and he took great pride in being a big brother. To know De’Quan was to know a young man with a big heart, a bold spirit, and a smile that could leave a lasting impression.

De’Quan was a young man of many gifts, and each one reflected a different part of who he was. His love for football made him a strong and determined presence on the field, where he played for the Green Valley Giants. His involvement with the Boys & Girls Club showed his community spirit and his willingness to be part of something bigger than himself. His courage was seen not only in sports, but in the way he lived each day—with confidence, curiosity, and heart. De’Quan also loved to cook and eat, and his excitement for food was rivaled only by his love for video games, his favorite shows, and time spent doing the things that brought him joy. He lived with a sense of adventure, embracing life with a spirit that was truly his own.

De’Quan was looking forward to turning fourteen so he could work at one of his favorite places, Chick-fil-A. He was also excited about learning how to drive and getting his permit so he could drive himself and David to school and practice. De’Quan and David Jr. shared a special, unbreakable bond. He took pride in helping care for Da’Mani and Davion, always wanting to look out for the people he loved. He enjoyed sports and fitness training with his dad and carried a deep passion for boxing. With his mom, he loved watching movies, listening to music, and being her protector. These everyday moments—full of laughter, love, and connection—are the memories his family will hold close forever.

De’Quan’s academic journey began at IAMACADEMY, continued through elementary school, and led him to Lake Middle School. There, he became involved with the Boys & Girls Club and enjoyed playing both basketball and football. He also took part in DJ

class and had the opportunity to work alongside The Drop 104.7. Whether he was on the field, in the gym, learning something new, or spending time with others, De’Quan brought the same talent, courage, humor, and love into every part of his life. He was a

leader in his own way—someone who stood out, showed up, and made an impact.

De’Quan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dave Harris Sr.; his great- grandparents, Carrie and James Davis and Sarah and William Davenport; and his cousins, Brian Harris Jr. and Maurice Daniels

De’Quan leaves behind his loving parents, Tiffany Winston and David Harris Sr.; his siblings, A’Jon, Tyson, David, Da’ Mani, and Davion; his grandparents, Cynthia Winston, James Davis, and Linda Harris; his aunts, and uncles as well as an abundance of cousins, teammates, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. They will forever carry the memory of his resilient spirit, his loving heart, and the joy he so generously shared..

De’Quan’s story is not defined only by the sorrow of his passing, but also by the love, laughter, passion, and light he brought into the world. He gave his family and friends moments they will treasure forever—memories of his smile, his determination, his

protectiveness, his dreams, and the way he loved. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will continue to live on in every heart he touched.

As we remember De’Quan, may we hold close the joy he brought, the lessons he taught through his courage and resilience, and the love he shared so freely. His light will never be forgotten.
