My King, My Love, My Best Friend

David, a Special Gift from God was born on Friday, October 23, 1953, to the parents of Mr. Joe and Mrs. Gloria Wallace in Colorado Springs, Colorado. David was the 2nd Son of four children. David attended Palmer High School, where he excelled in academics, track, basketball and football. David was very athletic; he went on to play softball on a team in his young adult life. David attended post secondary school at CU Boulder. David worked as a driver for Sysco Foods for 27 years, where he received various awards for his years of outstanding service.

On May 9th 2003 David met his Queen Charlyn Sanchez. They dated for 7yrs when God called them to be one, on January 16th 2010.

God blessed his wife with the Best King, when He gave her David. He was the calm to her storm. David was a great provider and a tender loving partner. David was a leader, a giver, a sincere caring and honest man. David was very loyal, and a true Servant Giant for God. David had a quiet demeanor about himself, as he was a shy man. David was a man of noble integrity and was a selfless man. When dealing with the situation at hand; his 'no' was 'no' and his 'yes' was 'yes' (Matthew 5:37). David simply meant what he said and that was that! If, he repeated himself about a given issue, you knew it was a rap. David fed and clothed the homeless, and would help anyone in need. David deeply loved his family. David also had a special love for Clark, his bonus son who he mentored and shaped into the man he is today, and his grandson Matthew.

David loved The Lord, his family, his cars, sports, gospel music and let's not forget he was a distinguished dresser! David had the sharpest mind to recall the details of any event no matter how long ago. David's love for The Lord was evident in his walk of life and how he loved helping people.
David was truly a man after the Heart of God. Every choice he made, every step he took, and every word he said was for HIS Glory.

David is preceded in death by his parents Joe E. Wallace Sr. and Gloria J. Wallace (Edwards), his Grandparents; Tee P. Wallace and Robbie L. Wallace, Ervin Edwards, and Willie B. Edwards.

David departed this life Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Aurora, Colorado to the eternal embrace of our Lord! Those left to cherish his many precious memories, and mourn his loss include his Loving Wife Charlyn Sanchez Wallace, Bonus Son Clark H. Spencer, and Grandson Matthew L. Spencer. His Siblings: Sister Wanda J. Wallace, Sister Lorraine K. Wallace and Brother Joe E. Wallace, Jr. and host of Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

David will always be loved by his Loving Queen and Devoted Wife Charlyn Sanchez Wallace for the nineteen years of togetherness, and Agape Love!
