Miss Daisy a complete ray of sunshine, born March 17, 1950 in Denver, Colorado to the proud parents of John Henry Perry and Lorraine Chambers. Daisy was the baby of six siblings, some already awaiting at the gates of heaven for her. Her oldest sister, Berna Jean her only brother John and her twin sister Katie. Daisy was raised in the church and had a loving childhood. She was taught to love pray, and be God-fearing.
Daisy attended Denver Public schools and graduated from Manual High School, extending her education to the job corp. Where she took up cosmetology, sewing, and cooking classes. When returning back to Denver, Colorado Daisy Attended Washington St., Church of God in Christ where she met C.W. Davis , whom she later married in 1971. Daisy brought to this Union , a handsome son, Noel Tyrone Perry, who C.W. learned to love and raise as his own. A few years later, Daisy and C.W. would welcome their firstborn girl, Coretta W. Davis then second daughter, Cassandra W. Davis. As Daisy cared for her family, she also worked at night in McGill Eagle Claw Fish and Tackle for 28 years .
Daisy was always participating in potluck gift exchanges, Halloween contests that she would win Bronco tickets and her and Coretta would enjoy. Later passing those Bronco tickets down to Kobe and Coretta to enjoy. Daisy was loving and kind to everyone, and whenever her children had a problem she would say "pray that God would change things in the middle of the night, ask God to change peoples hearts", taking her advice would always work. Thank you mom for teaching us how to pray. After leaving the family church, Daisy continued serving under (the late)Bishop Dennis Leonard at Heritage Christian Center, then Potter's House, and now actively to date at Hope City Church serving under Pastor Marilyn Saunders, attending via online due to health issues.
Daisy's love was her grandchildren, Noel's daughter, Natasha Perry, Coretta's son, Coby Mosley and daughter , Camonte Davis. Daisy spent a lot of time with Cassandra. They lived together, so Cassandra got to decorate for every holiday and help prepare Thanksgiving dinners with her. Coretta got to run errands with her, shop with her, and go to breakfast, lunch or dinner with her. She hung out with Coretta to hang out with the grandkids and would attend at all Coby's football & basketball games, soccer tournaments, church plays ,step shows, whatever he had going on she would say that's (my heart, )and with no question she was there. Coby was her movie buddy. They would sit and watch movies for hours at home and the movie theater, (The Mummy with Tom Cruise, )and (Garden of the Galaxy )which Daisy was really tickled by were two movies that her and her grandson watched together. Camonte wasn't active in sports, but grandma attended those plays and most importantly, her high school graduation. Daisy would always tell her granddaughter Camonte, "you're gonna be a beautiful model" , Daisy would often thank Camonte for making her coffee and always checking up on her. Daisy wished that she had been more active in Natasha's life, but she loved her very much too.
Daisy will always be remembered as an upbeat, prayer warrior, who loved fashion and family, and most importantly put God first. One of the last songs that Coretta and her grandchildren were singing to by Victoria Monet. She asked if we could slow it down so she could hear what we were saying, "I put that on my mama on my hood I look fly. I look good you can't touch my bag wish you could I look fly good"… God's gonna make sure we're good
I want to thank all my family and friends, who came out to celebrate the life of Daisy, Ardena Perry with us, appreciate any cards calls, text flowers stories in this time of comfort. God bless you and may God keep you.
