Charlene Rovan Wimbush also known as Sweet Pea (63) of Denver Colorado departed us on April 9th 2025.
Born on December 20, 1961 to Charles and Christine Wimbush. Charlene AKA Sweet Pea as most knew her by was the fourth of five children. Charlene was strong willed and stubborn at times as a child, and as an adult.
As a child Charlene loved to sing, dance, and cook. She loved animals so much that once on a family trip to their grandma's, Charlene took one of her grandma's chickens. On the ride back home she feed that chicken potted meat and Vienna sausages. Charlene went to Smith Elementary, Place Middle School, and she graduated from George Washington High School. After graduating from high school Charlene went on to receive her Associates degree in Culinary Arts and Art Culture.
Charlene was true to God's word, "I am my sisters keeper". Especially when it came to her two sisters Madelyn and Christine. She always protected her family no matter the cost.
In Charlene's free time if she wasn't on the phone with one of her sisters or daughters talking for hours she would be cooking or shopping. Cooking and shopping were her favorite pass times, and she loved Temu.
Charlene loved trying new things no matter what it was. She lived her life by her terms with no regrets.
Those who knew Sweet Pea will remember her for her infectious smile, her deep rooted faith in Jesus and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. Let us not forget about her goof old cooking and her favorite saying "on the gun smoke". Charlene will be truly missed but to be absent from the body is to be present with God.
Charlene is preceded in death by her father and mother Charles and Christine Wimbush, and her brother Anthony Morrison.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters Loneva & Jerry Fuller (deceased) of Oklahoma City, Madelyn & Delvin Thompson of Seminole Oklahoma, and Christine Wimbush of Aurora Colorado.
