Obituary

Carold Johnarnold Peoples Jr., lovingly known to many as "Big Sicx," was born on July 14, 1964, in Chateau, France, to Carold Johnarnold Peoples Sr. and Jeraldine Peoples. A proud military child, Carold's early years were shaped by travel and transition. His family relocated from France to Montana, and later to Denver, Colorado, where they settled in the Park Hill neighborhood in 1971.

In 1972, the family moved to the Montbello community where Carold attended Montbello High School before continuing his education at Trapper Creek Job Corps, where he graduated. It was at Job Corps that he met the love of his life, Valerie Gonzales, who would later become Valerie Peoples. From the moment they met, they were inseparable. Their love story blossomed into a lifelong partnership, and they were married on July 6, 1987. Married for 41 beautiful years, Carold and Valerie built a life rooted in love, loyalty, and countless cherished memories.

Together they welcomed two children, Angelica M. Peoples and Carold J. Peoples III, born eleven months apart in 1986 and 1987. Carold was a proud and devoted father. He deeply loved his son, Carold III, and carried that love fiercely and openly. The loss of his beloved son was a heartbreak he bore with quiet strength, holding tightly to the memories and bond they shared. His love for both of his children was unwavering and evident to all who knew him.
Carold and Angelica had similar personalities where they commanded the room and shared fond and deep love for each other. The love and laughter the two shared will be a bond that is irreplaceable.

Carold and Valerie uprooted from the city life to more of a rural living in Pueblo West, Colorado. Where Carold and Valerie enjoyed early morning mountain sunrises, in their dream home; alongside their two dogs Dallas and Bishop Peoples.

Carold had a personality that filled every room he entered. In Montbello, he was known as the OG affectionately called "Big Sicx." He was a natural storyteller who loved entertaining family and friends with meaningful stories, humor, and unforgettable laughter. Being around Carold meant you were going to smile.

He enjoyed barbecuing for those he loved, fishing, listening to music, and always looking and smelling his best. He took pride in his appearance and carried himself with confidence and style. A devoted sports fan, Carold was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys supporter, he truly bled blue and white. Whenever you saw him, he was proudly wearing the Dallas star.

Carold's life was defined by love, loyalty, laughter, and presence. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, charisma, and unforgettable memories that will live on through his beloved wife Valerie, his daughter Angelica, extended family, and the countless friends and community members whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Peoples, his wonderful loving daughter, Angelica Peoples (Larry Jefferson Jr.,) his siblings, Loria Ferguson, Mark Peoples, Kendra Peoples, Patrick Peoples, Marlon Peoples and a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Carold and Jeraldine Peoples, and his son Carold J. Peoples III.
