Brandis Loftis, born on November 14, 1986, in Denver, CO, was a man who loved to have fun and be the life of the party. Despite life's challenges, he consistently chose to be a beacon of hope for others, making a remarkable impact on his community by being a member of the PTA at Whitaker Elementary and a member or People's Presbyterian church. As Helen Keller once stated, "I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still, I can do something." This quote seemed to capture the spirit of Brandis, who despite his health struggles, dedicated his life to serving others, particularly those less fortunate. Brandis never allowed his own circumstances to overshadow the needs of others. He devoted his time to serving food to the homeless and working with food banks and the Boys and Girls Club. His unwavering commitment to service was a testament to his character, and his actions served as a powerful reminder that every act of kindness, however small, truly does make a difference. In his personal life, Brandis was a lover of R&B music, with Brandy as his favorite artist. His love for music was only surpassed by the love he had for his son Aidan, and his younger brother, Treylan. Brandis leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and resilience. His memory will be cherished by his mother, Pamela Loftis; his siblings, Treylan and Emesia; his beloved son, Aidan Loftis; and his grandmother, Sharon Tave. Brandis was preceded in death by his father, Wray Loftis; his brother, Jerrod Shoals; and his grandparents, Henry and Deloris Loftis.
As we remember Brandis, let us take to heart the words of Albert Pine, "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." Brandis's spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched and the incredible difference he made in his community. We encourage you to share your favorite memories of Brandis and upload photos to his memorial page, helping to keep his memory alive.
