Barbara Fay Bryant, was born on the 16th of December, 1945, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi to the union of Willie Henry Walker and Pearlie Furnace-Walker .
A loving, supportive, and spirited woman, Barbara was a beacon of faith and love in the lives of everyone she touched. Her steadfast belief in the Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and shaping her into the prayer warrior she was. Barbara lived her life in service to God and her family, always prioritizing her relationship with her Creator and her loved ones.
Barbara spent her professional life as a diligent housekeeper in the hotel industry and dedicated much of her time to the service of House of Joy Miracle Deliverance Church serving on the ushers board. She was a prophetess, devoutly studying God's word and finding joy and solace in her Bible. Even during her free time, she loved to dance to gospel music, her spirited nature shining through her every action. However, her hobbies extended beyond her religious practices; Barbara had a love for traveling and sightseeing, often embarking on these adventures with her friends. On the 10th of November, 2024, she was called home to be with the Lord.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, survived by her children, Barbara Fields, Christala Hill, D-Adrian Hill, and Kairy Hill Jr., and her sister, Fannie Ward, niece Tasha Ward and nephew Charles Ward Jr; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grand children, great nieces, great nephews, cousins Myra Rose McKenzie and Willena Robinson.
She now joins her mother, Pearlie Furnace-Walker, father, Willie Henry Walker, and her siblings, Mary McKinzie, Georgia Walker, Hugh Porter Walker, Jimmie Walker, Emma Smith, and Willie Walker, in eternal rest. As we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
