Alexander DeWitt Smith, Jr. (AJ) was born on April 1, 1996 in Blytheville, Arkansas (AR) to his parents Alexander Sr. and Rosalind Smith. AJ graduated from Austin High School, Decatur, Alabama (AL) in the Class of 2014 where he was known for baseball, football, and keeping a smile on everyone's face. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Donnie Malone, New Zion MB Church, Tanner, AL. AJ was a successful boxer who was an inspiration to those before and after him.
AJ entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Aurora, Colorado (CO). AJ was preceded in death by his Grandfather, DeWitt Smith; Grandfather, James Lee Middlebrook; Grandfather, James C. Atterberry; Grandmother, Essie Lee Smith; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
AJ leaves to cherish his life and memories to his daughter, Zariah Brielle Smith (Carmen) of Denver, CO; Father and Mother, Alexander Sr. and Rosalind Smith of Madison, AL; Great Grandmother, Mary Atterberry of Blytheville, AR; Grandmother, Margaret (Jerry) Vample of Farmington, Michigan; Four sisters, Chera Alexis Thomas of Baytown, Texas, Charlotte Alexandria Oneal Smith of Decatur, AL and Preshonda Renee and Kreshonda Alexandra Smith of Catonsville, Maryland; One brother, Jordan O'Brian Smith of Madison, AL; Four nieces, Kimora, Krystian, London and Kali; Four nephews, Alex, Karson, Desmond Jr and Bryson; and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Friends.
