Patricia Young

March 9, 1996 - January 14, 2022

Patricia Lashey Young was born on March 9th, 1996 to her loving parents Clifford Young and Alicia Portley in Aurora, CO. Patricia attended Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Early College in Denver, CO where she earned her diploma. Patricia as a child was very nurturing and loving, when someone was sick or sad she would sit close to console them. Though Patricia did not live a long adult life, she loved being present. She was lighthearted and enjoyed the simplicity of life. She loved her family which included her daughter Amaya, her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents and nephews. She was not a typical young adult. Being a mother was extremely important to her. When she was pregnant she would walk miles to and from work in the cold and heat in preparation for her baby. After Amaya was born, Patricia kept that same energy, she would Uber from SW Denver to Aurora to drop the baby off with family and then Uber back downtown to her job at Greyhound at Union Station where she was a ticket agent off and on four years. She was well liked by her peers, eventually becoming a lead ticket agent. Patricia was preceded in death by Myles Lockett (her unborn son), Nathan Portley Jr., grandfather. Those left to mourn her are daughter Amaya Lockett, mother Alicia Portley, father Clifford Young (Alicia), brother Sheldon, sister Anessa, sister Yvette, sister Xeniya, sister Kayla, brother Trevon, step-sisters Ariana, Angelina, Olivia, grandmother Alice, grandmother Gail (Harvey), a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
