Mrs. Shirley A. Tucker

Shirley Ann Tucker, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 25, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shirley lived a life marked by warmth, laughter, resilience, and an unshakable love for those around her. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lewis B. Tucker, who passed on November 10, 2017, and her beloved son, Dominic Tucker, who passed on November 15, 2009. She also joins in eternal rest her cherished siblings, Patricia Horton and Orlando Williams. Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Dara Tucker of Houston, Texas, and Dafina Tucker of Aurora, Colorado, who will forever cherish the love, grace, and joy their mother poured into every part of their lives. She also leaves behind her mother, Pearlie Mae Eaves, a living pillar of strength and legacy for the family. She was a proud and loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Cilehe Tucker, Dominic Tucker Jr., Naima Watson, Kai Howard, Darren Howard, and Jaidee Melton. Her heart expanded even more with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Aramis Tucker, Saraia Freeman, and Ja’Braylon Johnson, each of whom brought a bright light to her later years. Shirley is also survived by her beloved siblings: Carlos Brown of Oklahoma City, OK (Maxine), Coquese Cephus of Sacramento, CA, Terrance Williams of Oklahoma City, OK, Alonzo Williams of Oklahoma City, OK, Toby Brown of Oklahoma City, OK Bonita Harris of Fort Belvoir, VA and Donald Duvall of Denver, CO. Their bond brought strength, laughter, and unity through the years. After a long and dedicated career, Shirley retired from the United States Postal Service, where her commitment and integrity made a lasting impact. Outside of work, she had an extraordinary talent for sewing, often creating pieces filled with love and detail. But what Shirley may be most remembered for is her infectious energy—she loved to have fun, brought joy wherever she went, and was known as a top-tier party host whose gatherings were full of laughter, music, and unforgettable memories. She leaves behind a wide circle of cousins, extended family, and dear friends who were touched by her compassion, humor, and radiant spirit. Shirley Ann Tucker lived a life full of love, creativity, and connection. Though she has transitioned from this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she nurtured, uplifted, and inspired
